Innovation for Smart Manufacturing, MIL-STD-130, Healthcare Data Capture, and Other Standards with Seasoned Integrators
For over two decades, ID Integration has been at the forefront of automated data capture technologies and data integration. We have established ourselves as a trusted provider of cutting-edge solutions across a wide range of industries, including government, military, aerospace, industrial manufacturing, hospitals, medical device manufacturers, and more. Our proven track record in improving productivity, reliability, and cost-effectiveness speaks volumes about our commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction.
Our journey began in 1999 when Boeing enlisted our expertise to test RFID tag technology for tracking parts on their shop floor. We developed a pioneering solution using durable plastic rivets embedded with RFID microchips. Later, we transitioned to human-readable dot peen marked metal tags with 2D Data Matrix nomenclature, an extraordinary feat at the time. The success of our application led to its continued use by Boeing to this day.
Today, ID Integration remains a leader in leveraging modern technologies for smart manufacturing, inventory management, real-time location tracking, workflow efficiency, and compliance. As a seasoned system integrator, we possess the expertise to customize solutions that meet the unique needs of any organization, without being tied to any specific manufacturer. Our team of experts has extensive experience with a wide range of artificial intelligence/machine-learning insights, RFID, IoT/IIoT, cloud/on-premise software, and barcoding solutions.
ID Integration is a subject matter expert and provides turnkey solutions to customers that need to meet the Dept. of Defense IUID and MIL-STD-129/130 requirements, Boeing and Airbus ATA Spec2000 standards, and the FDA’s UDI requirements.

Customized Solutions
We offer a range of asset location and tracking options to suit various needs and budgets. Our experts are skilled in combining multiple technologies to provide the best automation while remaining brand-agnostic. As system integrators, we believe in providing the most effective answer for clients, regardless of the technology manufacturer.
Enhanced Data Accuracy
Our signature BarCode OS® enabled scanners eliminate manual data entry errors, ensuring compliance with MIL-STD-130, FDA UDI, ATA SPEC 2000, and other Department of Defense IUID requirements with the world’s only patented barcode security filter.
Safety & Efficiency
We apply our systems integration experience to monitor the movement of high-risk assets, workflow processes, and personnel within workplaces. This includes streamlining workflow, risk assessment in parts manufacturing facilities to mitigate a single point of failure (SPOF) and optimizing hospital equipment and patient transport in large hospitals.
Cybersecurity Protection
Our proprietary BarCode OS® technology is equipped with a firewall to block malicious OS commands embedded in Data Matrix, PDF417, QR, and other 2D symbologies, safeguarding your network from cybersecurity threats.
Our Milestones:
From 1999 to the present day, we remain at the forefront of systems integration, constantly striving to deliver the latest emerging technologies that incorporate AI/ML, RFID, IoT, and IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) across multiple industries, including manufacturing, hospitals and healthcare, sea transport, construction, and more. Our research focuses on innovative solutions to combat emerging cybersecurity threats, utilizing emerging technologies to identify and mitigate Single Points of Failure (SPOF) before any breaches occur. Additionally, we continue to explore solutions that elevate patient care through automated inventory management, healthcare data capture, and data analysis.
1995
Introduced 2D Data Matrix Code to Boeing
In 1995, we introduced the 2D Data Matrix Code to Boeing and developed a direct laser marking process of Data Matrix Codes on small tools used in the Boeing GEMCOR wing fastening system. We developed a 2D Data Matrix Code reader/vision system for the tool rooms with a tool tracking management solution.
1999
Developed Passive RFID Tag Solution
In 1999, we researched and developed a passive RFID tag solution to embed a small RFID microchip into a durable plastic rivet and attach to Boeing structural airplane parts for tracking on the shop floor.
2000
Developed 2D Data Matrix Dot Peen Marking Process
In 2000, we developed a 2D Data Matrix Code dot peen marking process for Boeing structural parts that can go through acid etch, shot peen and green primer painting and be read at the end of the manufacturing process with a 2D barcode scanner.
Developed Handheld Inkjet System
In 2000, we developed a handheld inkjet system that can scan the 2D Data Matrix Code dot peen mark on Boeing parts and print the human readable part number.
2001
Worked with Boeing Helicopter in Philadelphia
In 2001, we worked with Boeing Helicopter in Philadelphia to research and test marking 2D Data Matrix Codes on Chinook Helicopter parts with portable dot peen and laser marking systems. We marked 62 parts in a Boeing hanger on the first F Model Chinook Helicopter. Boeing needed a better configuration and maintenance management solution for the Army and realized they needed to implement automated data capture and eliminate manual data capture by maintainers.
2002
Designed/Built Mobile Parts Marking Trailer for Boeing Helicopter
In 2002, we designed and built our first Mobile Parts Marking Trailer for Boeing Helicopter. We integrated laser, dot peen, inkjet and chemical etch marking systems in a 8’ x 24’ mobile trailer with a portable office and generator power. We built nine Marking Trailers that were deployed at Army bases and Boeing sites. We provide five different Army sites with a full-time parts marking technician who marked in-service Chinook Helicopters with 2D Data Matrix Codes.
2003
Pioneered IUID Chinook Helicopter Program
In 2003, we pioneered the IUID Chinook helicopter program, and played a crucial role as an advisor during the development of the Department of Defense's (DoD) policy on Item Unique Identification (IUID). Our Chinook IUID Mobile Parts Marking Trailers became the U.S. Army's preferred parts marking solution, staffed by disabled veterans. We continue to actively participate in IUID technical working groups, contributing to implementation and policy discussions.
2004
Department of Defense IUID Policy Issued
In 2004 the Dept. of Defense IUID policy was issued which required that permanent 2D Data Matrix Codes with a globally unique ID be marked on all parts over $5,000 and also serialized and life limited parts. We provided Needs Assessments and integrated turnkey parts marking solutions for Boeing Defense, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman. Honeywell Aerospace, Rockwell Collins, Sikorsky, Bell Helicopter, all military services (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines) and many other large, medium and small companies that do work for the military. We continue to support these customers today on their IUID requirements.
2009
Launched Intelligent BarCode OS® Enabled Scanners
In 2009, we launched our intelligent BarCodeOS® enabled scanners, to improve monitoring and validation of components with an Item Unique Identification (IUID) mandatory 2D Data Matrix barcode mark, placed on Defense Department purchases. Later, in 2014, Code Corporation announced support for our BarCodeOS® enabled scanners naming ID Integration as a valued CodeAlliance partner.
